Sounds like you're quite the craftsman!

If your just looking for the vise to be an extra pair of hands while you work on it, that should be fine. You just have to make sure there is something soft between the vise plates and the limbs or riser of the bow, and don't crank it down too hard so that you don't damage the bow.

Part of doing well at anything is knowing your capabilities and figuring out how to best work with them. It sounds like you’re very self aware and able to make things work for you. I’m a lifelong learner, which means constant change, so I get it.

I’ve been shooting a bit with my 20# recurve bare bow in the garage lately. I can only get about 8 yards, but it keeps the DT’s at bay. lol
